Th8 Meljoume Sportlng Partnership Limited (Company number 08078193) was Incorporated on
22nd May 2012 and became a regist8red charity on 21st September 2016 (registered charity
number 1169306) and Is govemed by th8 amended Articles of Association passed by special
resolution on 8th August 2016.lts status is that of a company limited by guarantee and the liablllty
of each member 55 responsible in the event of a winding up is limited to £1. The overall
management responsibility of Charlty is under the control of the trustees who are the threctors of
the company and they are elected in accordanc8 with th8 Articlas of Association. Th8 trustees act in
an Unpaid capacity on behalf of their member dub8. The day to day proiect activity Is carrfed out by
paid employees and volunteers.

There are four member clubs as stated in the Articl8s of Association and they have the rights lo
appoffit iwo representatives per club to act as trustees al￿ they cary the votlng po￿15 of the
company. Each member can put forward two named people to act as Trustees. If for any rea50n
that Indivklual leaves the member dub they must resty and the member club can propos8 ar
person to take their pla(x subject to a vot6 of the trustees.
ASS￿late members (xn appoint two represenlatives to attend trustee meeting8 but they have no
voling rights at the meetings.
The other officers of the company are appointed annually at the Annual General Meellng and h
no voling rights in thè meetings.

Summary of the main actlvitles undertaken for the communlty
The main activities of the charity are to provide facilities to promote communty participation in
healthy recreation for the benefft of the inhabitants of Melboume. South Derbyshire and sum)urKling
This is undertaken by supporting the member dubs and the provision of upgraded facilrties lo
enable addbtional sporting activities to be provided in the area for the use of persons who have the
need for such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmty or disablement, poverty or social and
economic circumstances or for the public at large in Ihe interest of social welfare and with the object
of improving the condibon of lrfe of the said inhabitants.
Achlevomonts. porlorrnanco and financlal revl
The Trustee8 have an ongoing plan to rnaintain and enhance the site facilities over time lo benefil
current and future users of the facility.
BuildiNJ on the work in previous years to enhance our energy I water efficiency (Includlng the
transillon to LED floodlighting on the AGP and the Borehole and water storage project). ahaad of
Ihe Summer 2025 w8 ￿re pleased to be able to secure the instsllation of a solar pan81 array and a
battery storage facilty serving the main pavilion. The project was kindty supported by a grant of
£18,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund and an additional grant of £6.000 from
Melboume Parish Council. This project was essential to h* protect the Charity from higher and
flu¢tuallng energy costs.
Melboume Town Cricket Club have Installed new crid(et nets to improve tralning facilities for thelr
plasers. Melboume D￿am0 FC continue to improve the facilities around the main football pitch lo
support Iheir ambitions to progress up Ihe football pyramid.

The company pay5 for its own staff and contribules lo the staff costs of the management of the
pavlion as well as the direct costs of operating. FoNo%MrrfJ a successful yEar of trading. the (xjmpany
made a donation of £59.291 to the Melboume Sp(xling Partnership Limited in the financial year.
Reserves pollcy
The Irust88s recognise the need for reseNes to cover mainlenance of and future investrnent in the
current facilities. The aim is to accumulate reserves and obtsin grants to develop further the
fa¢ilities for the existing clubs and expand Ihe range of swting aclivitses available to the public in
fuifrfmenl of the charitable objects of the company.
One of the conditions of the money made available for the tsjilding of the Arbficial Grass Pitch was
Ihat a sinking fund had to be part of the reserves of the company so an amount of £1.250 per month
is allocated to the sinking fund and is InckKJed In g8neral resèrves of tha company. At 31sl
March 2025 this reserve amounled lo £125.(K)0 (2024 - £110.000).

are to promote for the benefit of the Inhabilants of Me#M)ume South Derbyshire and the
surrounding area the provision of mufti-puw swling facilities or other recreation or other
leisure time occupation for individuals have the need of such facilities by reason of their
)uth, age, infimity or disablement, financial ha￿lshiP or social and economical circumslances or
for the public at large in the interest of social welfare arxl with the object of improving the condition
of life of the sald inhabitants.
To promote community participation in healtty recreati￿ for the benefft of the inhabitants of
Melboum6, South Detyshire and the surrounding ar8a by ov8rs88ing th8 d8velopment and
deliv￿ of 5POrting activibes by supporting the Member Clubs and providing upgraded facilities for
the Golledive development. To provide dwectlon, support and assistance to the Member Clubs to
ensure they are managed effectivdy and sustsinably. To promote the profile of the Member Clubs

The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with
FRS 102, The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland and in
accordanca with Arxounting and Reportlng by Charltles, the Statement of Recommended Prdcdc8
fi)r d￿rItieS applying FRS102, the Compani8s Act 2006 and UK generally acc8Pt8d accountlng
policies as it applies from 1st January 2015.
The trustees confim that they have referred to the guidance contained in th8 Charity
Commission's guidance on public benefft when reviewing the charitvs aims arKI objectlves and In
plannlng future activibes. Assets and Ilabllitles are initially recognised at historic cost or transaction
value unless otherwise stated in the relevant accounting pollcy notes. Reconciliation wlth previous
Gen8rally Accepted Accounting Practice. In preparing the accounts, the trustees have considered
ether in applying the accounting policies required by FRS 102 and the Chariti8s SORP FRS 102
the restatement of compardtive items was required.

At the time of approving the accounts. ts trustees have a reasonable expectation that Ihe charity
has adequat8 resources to Continue in operational exIStsn￿ for the foreseeable futur8. Thus the
trustees continue to adopt the golng concem basis of accounting In preparing the accounts.
