The Club r8li8s on the Surpluses made on fundralslng ev8nts, and on occaslonal donatlons from the public, lo provlde the funds with which lo carry out ils oblecllves. All adminislrallve expenses of the Club are met from subscriptSons pald by Ils members. There ha8 been no change in these policies during theyear. The work of the CIO Is carded out entlrely by volunt88rs. From time lo lime as appropriate, the Club works closely with other local and nallonal agenoig8. Wlth other Llon8 Club8, and wllh Llons Clubs Internalional lo achlgva Its objectives. The Club is governed by ils CIO document dated 20 September 2016. and by the Constltutlons and By-Laws ol Llons Clubs Inlernational, as revised from lime to time. The Trustees are appointed from time lo tlme as appropriate by the members of the Club, and have overall r6sponslblllty lo ensure Ihal the Club operatos in accordance wllh Charlty law and the Club's CIO document. The day~to-day running of the Club Is overseen by a Board of Dlreclors elected each year by th8 members, and whlch forms and governs such committees as it deems 8pproprlale for the effective running of the Club. All businèss of the Club Is ratified by the memb8rs in genéral moelings, whlch meelings are held al leasl once per month. The Club is ably supported by the volunteer sgrvlces of Its members and others. Delails of the Trustees who have served throughout the year are $8t out under legal and administrative informatlon al the front of these ac¢ounls. 11 is the policy of the Club to maintain unrestricted funds only to the extent that they are expected lo be required wlthin the forseeable future lo meet the objectives of the Club. The adequacy of the serveS policy 1$ reviewed periodically. The Trustees have considered the major risks lo which the Club is exposed to satlsfy themselves that syslems are in plac6 to miligale those risks.
LIONS CLUB OF TROWBRIDGE A Charitable Incorporated Organisation TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT(CONTINUED) FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 JUNE2025 Communtty Servlce Actlvltlgs th During the year ending 30 June 2025 the Lions Club of Trowbridge completed a wlde variety of activities within the Trowbridge district involving diverse groups such as disadvantaged families, disabled persons, elderly, homeless and the encouragement of young persons. Examples Include.. Monthly payments to the local Storehouse foodbank were increased from £70to £ICK) in September 1024. We are in continual contact with the Wiltshire Safe8uardln8 Group which has led to enqulrles to help elderly and disadvantaged familie5. This led to us supplyin8 many white goods and furnishings to local families. Kept in touch with our one parent families to ensure they are not short of food or other supplies using Ruksak45218 {local charityl where possible. Gave food vouchers to local families at Christmas Organised a very successful 'ban8ers and mash, lunch for elderly local residents Collected, sorted over 9,000 palrs of spettacles and delivered to the Lion5 conventlon In Amesbury. Took a group of our elderly local resident5 on a canal boat trlp Arranged our Christmas Santa Float to vlslt areas within Trowbrid8e and donated the proceeds to charltles and families wlthin the Trowbridge area. Contributed towards the refurbishment of Stepping Stones's teachlnglsupport premises (for pre-school children aged 0-4 years with additional needs).
