Certain trustees are appointed to be responsible for specific projects and actlvities of Ihe charity. Obleckn and Artlvltle¥ The objects of the charity are: l) To relieve the sufferlng of anlmals in need of eare and attention in Turkey 21 To relieve Ihe suffering of stray animals in Turkey the main day to day activities include neuterln& veterinary treatrnent, foster care and permanent rehomin8 both In Turkey and abroad. 31 The chartty promote5 humane behavlour to animals and provide5 educatlon to the publlc penaiDin8 to animal welfare in general. To everyone involved in rnakln8 It a success. and pulllng it together at ihe last minute. we thankyou. Our annual Black Friday online auction was held in November 2023, raising approximately £5480towards providin8 food for the street animals of Kalkan during the winter months.Thi5 is £IOLJ) up on last years wonderful effort5. Just a small run, one depictlng Kalkan street do& one a cat. Wlilst we didn't raise si8nificant fvnds. it was great fun for those that purchased thern. Neuterin We continue to artively promote the neutering programme in Kalk3n. Turkey and during 2023.3 total of 722 animals were neutered.1711 in 20221. Our volunteers are based both in the UK and Turkey. Re-Homi It Is with immense pleasure to report yet again. that more dogs land a few cats). have been successfully rehome in the UK. KAPSAprovides a supportingrole to ènsure the anima15 are fully compliant with both the Turkish and UK resulatlons. as well as any other thlrd party countries the animals have to travel throu8h to reach thelr destination. Winter Feedin Pro amme We have contlnued to support the winter feeding programme in Kalkan. which for runs for a six month period. Food is distributed to volunteers throu8hout the area. to feed the local ats and do85, once the touflsts have departed and the rourism season has ended. rinar Treatmen Our support to the every increasing veterinary costs in Kalkan continues. Typlcally, treatment consists of neuterin& treatment followin8 a car accldent, P01sonin8 and general Illnesses or Infections caused bv fightin8 With other animals.
