The objects of the CIO are: 1- To further or benefit the Afghanistani community in Nottinghamshire by associating together the said community, other local residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organizations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for education, culture, recreation and other leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the residents and helping them get integrated into their community and British Society, including the establishment of a community centre. 

- 3- The promotion of racial and religious harmony for the public benefit by: a- Promoting knowledge and mutual understanding and respect of the culture, beliefs and practices of different racial and religious groups including awareness of their distinctive features and their common ground to promote good relations between persons of different racial and religious groups. 

b- Working towards the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of race or religion. Furthermore, the charity carries some range of activities in pursuance of its charitable objectives: Education Activities: 

- Organising community-based Education such as teaching Farsi Language, community awareness programs. Recreation Activities: 

- Festivals: The major events our charity has organised and celebrated were Nawruz (Persian New Year), Eid-al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr. Members of the community contributed in various capacities and roles in organising and celebrating these events. Religious Activities: - Organising religious events to educate our community members in better understand the modern interpretation of Islam.
