||||||This year has seen us try to continue to||
||||||recover from the Covid 19pandemic.<br>We||
||||||had to close the church again to the spike|in|
||||||Covid cases in October 2020 and we did|not|
||||||reopen<br>until Easter Sunday<br>4m April 2021.||
||||||During this closure our faithful<br>members<br>of||
||||||the congregation<br>continued<br>to give their||
||||||tithes and offerings to support the ongoing||
||||||work ofthe church<br>Obviously,<br>our normal||
||||||weekly church activities were suspended.||
||||||The Pastor continued to be in contact with||
||||||the members<br>by phone and also resumed|a|
||||||regular<br>newsletter<br>for people who did not||
||||||have the technology<br>to receive the||
||||||messages<br>that he was producing<br>weekly|in|
||||||the form of Facebook wdeos.||
||||||These wdeos were greatly appreciated,<br>not||
||||||only by church members,<br>but also the wider||
||||||general<br>public, most of which were none||
||||||church goers, however,<br>the Pastor and||
||||||church were very pleased to have many||
||||||encouraging<br>responses<br>every week from||
||||||people who were being helped to cope with||
||||||and get through<br>the pandemic.<br>One lady,||
||||||(who was the Chair ofGovernors<br>at the local||
||||||rima<br>school<br>that the Pastor met in||





|passing<br>said, "I'm not a particularly<br>religious|
|---|
|person<br>but<br>Ijust wanted<br>you to know that|
|your posts helped get me through<br>lockdown',|
|this was a great encouragement<br>both to the|
|Pastor and the church.|
|Once again planned<br>visits by Kirkby Avenue|
|primary<br>school for Harvest<br>and Christmas|
|had to be cancelled due to the second|
|lockdown.|
|Itwas so good to reopen<br>on Easter Sunday|
|4~April 2021,a kind ofresurrection<br>day for|
|the church.<br>In October we had our Harvest|
|Thanksgiwng<br>Service, and we donated<br>an|
|offering ofjust over E200to Samantan's|
|Purse's<br>Livelihoods<br>Project where they work|
|with families engaged<br>in subsistence<br>farming|
|who often live in chronic poverty and|
|malnutrition,<br>and who lack the skills to get|
|the most out oftheir small patches of land.|
|Others have seen their livelihoods<br>wiped out|
|by drought,<br>disaster, or war. Through<br>their|
|Animals,<br>Agriculture,<br>and Livelihoods|
|programmes,<br>Samaritan's<br>Purse have|
|helped to provide thousands<br>of impoverished|
|farmers,<br>herders,<br>and fishermen<br>around<br>the|
|world<br>with the resources<br>and training<br>they|
|need to feed their families and even obtain a|
|modest income that can be used for|
|education,<br>medical care, or other needs.|
|The church collected items for (Shoe Box|
|Christmas<br>Presents)<br>and Bentley|
|Pentecostal<br>Church<br>kindly packed 30shoe|
|boxes for us to send to Samaritans<br>Purse|
|'Operation<br>Christmas<br>Child'<br>Kind donations|
|were passed on to Bentley Pentecostal|
|Church to cover the postage ofthe shoe box|
|presents.|
|The Pastor continues as Chaplain<br>to|
|Doncaster Retro Rovers, a local community|
|walking<br>football project offenng practical and|
|emotional<br>support<br>The Pastor has also|
|become the Chaplain<br>of Doncaster<br>'Fit|
|Rovers' and offers friendship<br>8 counselling|
|to members<br>of Doncaster Fit Rovers a|
|fitness, health<br>and well-being<br>local|
|community<br>project. However,<br>in April this|
|year our Pastor has had a hip replacement|
|that has left him with ongoing complications|
|which has limited time spent with the above|
|projects, however he has still maintained|
|contact through<br>messaging<br>and social|
|media.|
|The Pastor visited one of our Church|
|Members<br>whose wife, also a member,<br>was|
|deteriorating<br>in hospital from Huntington'<br>s|
|disease. Sadly, this lady died in September|
|and the funeral was held at church.|
