This<br>includes events with a long-running history<br>in the community such as Emley Show,<br>annual Remembrance events in Clayton<br>West, Emley, and Cleckheaton, and the<br>annual carol service at St Michael’s Church,<br>Emley, which sold out within 5 days. The<br>band continues to be in high demand for<br>events throughout the year, especially in the<br>Christmas period.<br>On the contest stage the band attended the<br>National Brass Band Championships of<br>Great Britain in Cheltenham in September<br>2024, the first time the band had qualified in<br>12 years. We also achieved a placing of 4th<br>in the 2ndSection at the Yorkshire Areas;<br>this result was high enough to give us<br>promotion to the 1stSection for the first time<br>in our history.<br>Our main fundraising event, Emley Real Ale<br>Festival, was extremely successful and well-<br>attended throughout the weekend, building<br>the band’s connection with the local<br>community and contributing to our financial<br>reserves.<br>The band continues to offer an environment<br>in which its members can enjoy the hobby of|
