The puipose of the Charity is to further such exclusively charitable purposes for Ihe publlc bBnefil according lo the
laws ol England. Wales and Scotland and as the Trustees of Ihe Charity shall In Ihelr 8b8olule discretion determine.
The strategy of the Charity is lo provide an environment that enable5 Locklon employees to nominate a registered
charity each year Icharily of Yearl and put fO￿ard recommendations lor raising funds for donation to the Ch8ri1y.
In additlon, Locklon employees raise lund5 for any charitable cause in line with the Charfly'5 oblect¢V8s. Th8S8
recommendations are cA)nsidered by the Trustees for implem8ntation.

small society loltery, launched in 2019, whlch has proved a successful initiative, with 50% 01 proceeds don818d to
the Charity's unrestrtcled funds to support ils wider charitable purposes.

Prlnclpal Fundlng Sources
The Charity receives donallons from Locklon employees. the general public and members of the insurance
community. Locklon employees nominate a Charity of the Yea¥ and donallons received 8r8 held as restricted lunds
then donated directly to the nominated regislered charily. Olher donallons rec8iV8d as unrestricted funds are
donated 10 8 rang8 of charitable causes nominated by Locklon employ8e8 and governed and managed by the
Trustees.
Other sources of incorne are Ihrough Giv8 As You Eam, Pennies fiom Heaven and the small lott8ry run by the
Locklon Charity.
In addilion. Ihg Ch8fily is supported by Lockton Companies LLP who provide an annual donation and 'in-kind°
support to asslst the Charity with ils general expenses and r8sponslbilities to meet ils charilable purposes. The
Trustees are certain that this funding is suslainable for the foreseeable future.
There are no material uncertaintiès th81 th8 Trustees are aware of that may impact the goSng coneern of the Charity.
R•saN•s pollcy
11 is the policy of the charity that unrestricted funds which have nol been d85ignaled lor a specific use should be
maintained 8t 8 level equivalent to between three and slx month's expendilure. The Trustees consider that reserves
at thls 18vel will ensure that, in the event of 8 slgnlflc8nt drop in lunding, they will be able to continue the charltls
current 8clivilies while consideration is glven to W8ys In whlch additional lunds may be raised. Thls 18vel of rgseNes
has been maintained throughout the y8ar.
The TTUStees have consldered the requirernents for a reserves pollcy b85ed on ils annual running cosls. which is in
line wilh the following years expense budget.
The ies8rv8s policy has been rewewed durlng the flnanclal year and Ihe Trustees consider the value of the reserve
rem8lns appropriate.

At the lime ol approvlng th8 financial statements, the Truslees have a rea50n3ble expectation that the charily
has adequate resources lo continue in operational existence lor th8 foreseeable future. Thus the Tnjslees
continue to adopt Ihe goin9 concern basis ol accounting In prep8ring the financial statements.

Endowmenl funds 8re subject lo specific conditions by donors that th8 Gapilal rnust be mainlained by the
charity.
1.4 Incom8
Income is recognised when Ihe charity is legally enlilled to it after 8ny perform8nce conditions have been met,
the amounls can be rne8sured reliably, and il is probable Ihal income will be received.
Cash donations are recognised on Teceipt. Olher donations are recogni8ed once the charity has been nolified
of the donallon. unless performance condilions require d&f8rr81 ol the amount. Income lax recoverable In
relation to don8lions received under Gift Aid or deeds of covenant is recognised at the lime of Ihe donallon.
