that provldes a vltal source of 5UPPOrt and Is a powerful force for change for everyone affected by dementla.
Fundralslng actlvltles concluded In 2024 wlth £392,000 ralsed over the partnershlp perlod.

Llves. This remarkable charity is dedicated to ensurlng that no family has to suffer through thelr chlld's short
Ilfe alone and can Instead treasure every moment they have together. Together for Short Lives 15 the UK'S
leadlng charlty for Chlldren's Palliative Care. We are here to make sure that children with life-limltlng and life-
threatenlng condltlons and thelr famllles can make the most of every moment they have together, whether
that's for year5. months or only hours. We are proud to support them in their effort5 and make a posltlve
difference together.

Donatlons are the largest source of Income for the Charity and these funds are ralsed by Lockton employees
holding a wlde varlety of events such as Sporting challen8es; qulzie5: raffles; auctions; in-house fairs; cake sale5
and charlty breakfast5. The Charity also contlnues to ralsÈ funds through Its small society lottery kunthed in 2019
has receNed successthth15 knltlatfve.ofvthkh 50% 01 funds are donated to unrestrlcted funds for the Charlty.
The funds ralsed to support charitable causes is shown In note 10 and 11.
Mlsslon Statement
Our mission statement Is slmply for the Charity to raise funds for donatlon to reglstered charltles and charltable
projects to Improve the lives of people In our Communlty.
Publlc Beneflt
The purpose of the Charlty Is stated above and durlng the flnandal year the Charlty has ralsed funds for donatlon
In Ilne with our stated alms and oblectlves. The public benefltls the donation of funds to charltable cause5.
The Trustees have referred to the Scottlsh Charlty Regulator and Charlty Commlsslonerfs general guldance on
Publlc Beneflt when revlewing the Charlt(s alms and obJertlve5.
Volunteers
In common wlth many eharltles It would be difflcult to operate wlthout the support of volunteers. Durlng the
year covered by these financial statements, the Charlty ha5 benefltted from the support ol volunteers from
wlthln the Lockton enterprise, for whrch they are grateful.
STRucfuRE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Governlng Document
The Charlty Is a charltable Incorporated organlsatlon re8lstered In England and Wales wlth the ChaTIty
Comm1551on and In Scotland wlth the Scottlsh Charlty Regulator.
Recrultment and Appolntment of New Trustees
The Charlty ha5 adopted a recruitment proce55 to Identlfy approprlate persons to Joln the Charity as Trustees,
When new Trustees are appolnted they are 8lven an Snductlon to the work of the Charlty and are provided wSth
Informatlon to enable them to fulfll thelT role. The Inductlon Includes relevant Iralnln8, Inductlon pack wlth
e55entlal Buldance on the role and responslbllltles of a Trustee and (harlty law Includln8 an introductlon to the
Charlty and Its journey through the years to currentdate.
Or8anlsatlon and Management Structure
The Charity 15 managed and controlled independently from Lockton Companles LLP and was establlshed
excluslvely for charitable purposes lor the beneflt of the publlc.
The Chailty15 governed by a 8oard of Trustees comprislng 8 Trustees appolnted In accordance wlth a mandated
recrultment proce55 as recommended by the foundlng Trustees to Ihe Charlty and pursuant to charlty law.
The Trustees manage the affalr5 of the Charlty In accordance wlth thelr powers as set out in the constltutlonal
document. The mlnimum number of Charlty Trustees In offlce Is 3 with a maximum number of 12 Trustees In
offlce. Each year at the Annual General Meetlng. one-thlrd of Tru5tee5 retlre from offlce and retlroment by
rotallon applles to those who have been longest In office since thelr last appolntment or reappolntment.
The Charlty enga8es wlth a group of Lockton employee5 (°Charfly Champlons") who have volunteered to assist
wlth the management of fundralslng actlvitles. The Charity Champlons are represented from the buslness of
Lockton In the UK.

The Trustees acknowledge that the Charlty faces risks wlthln the envlronment In whlch It operates and the
Trustees aiesatlsfled that they have identified and analy5ed all major rlsks that the Charlty Is exposed to and put
In place effective controls to mltlgate those r15ks. The type of risk and Impact have been con51dered agalnst the
principles of charlty guidance and rated accordingly. These potential risks relate to:

These flnanclal statement5 cover the year to 31st December 2024 durlng whlch the actlvltles of the Charlty

FINANCIAL REVIEW
Prlnclpal Fundlng Sources
The Charity recelves donatlons from Lockton employees, the general publlc and members of the Insurance
communSty. Lockton employees nomlnate a Charlly of the Year and donatlons recelved are held as restrlcted
funds then donated dSrectly to the nomlnated re8lstered charlty. Other donatlons recelved as unrestrlcted
funds are donated to a range of charitable causes nomlnated by Lockton employees and governed and managed
by the Trustees.
Other sources of Income are through Glve As You Earn, Pennles from Heaven ènd the small lottery run by the
Lockton Charlty.
In addiilon. the Charlty Is supported by Lockton Companle5 LLP who provlde an annual donatlon and "In-klnd.
support to asslst the Charity wlth its Beneral expenses and fesponsibllities to rneet Its charltable purposes. The
Tru5tee5 are certaln that this funding Is sustalnable for ihe foreseeable future.
There Bre no materlal uncertalntles that the Tru5tee5 8re aware of that may Smpa¢t the golng concern of the
Charlty.
Reserves Poll¢y
The Trustees have consldered the requlrements for a reserves pollry based on its annual runnlng costs, whlch Is
In Ilne wlth the followln8 years expense budget.
The reserves pollcy has been reviewed durlng the financlal year and the Trustees conslder the value of the
reserne remalns appropriate.
Investment Pollcy
Due to the nature of the Charlty the Trustees feel It15 approprlate to retaln reserves In a current bank account.

12. LIMITED LIABILITY
In accordance wlth the Charlty Constltutlon, In the event of a wlndlng up of the Charlty the members
of the Charlty have no Ilablllty to contrlbute to lis assets and no personal responslbllity for settling Sts
debts and Ilabilities.
13. RÉLATED PARTIES
The Charity operates wlth the support of Lockton Companles LLP who provldes staff tlme fequlred to
run the Charity on a day to day basis free of charge and provldes an annual donailon to enable the
Charity to cover the cost of any other operatlng expenses.
