Dream CIO continue to meet at Yeadon cricket club. We provide a weekly meeting point every Monday afternoon between 130– 3:30 pm for our beneficiaries. During the meeting we pass on information of interest to our beneficiaries/support workers/carers and volunteers. This may be from what is on in the local area to Disability related information/events. We then provide a different activity to each week ranging from arts/craft session, meals/trips out, community Café, well-being activities and speakers on a variety of subjects. Our activities provide the beneficiaries the opportunities to learn new skills and knowledge. We have been exploring our senses. We have encouraged our beneficiaries to be aware of how they use their senses in every day life. This is especially relevant for our beneficiaries with a visual or hearing impairment. Practical skills we have developed include cutting fruit to make a fruit pizza. This is a transferable skill That they have learnt. Often the activities we provide encourage the beneficiaries to continue developing the new skill they have learnt.
