Dream CIO continue to meet at Yeadon cricket Club. We provide a weekly meeting point every Monday afternoon between 1.30- 3.30 p.m. for our beneficiaries. During the meeting we pass on information of interest to our beneficiaries /support workers/carers and volunteers. This may be from what is on in the local area to disability related information/events. We then provide a different activity every week ranging from arts/ craft sessions, meals/trips out, community cafe, well being activities and speakers on a variety of subjects. Our activities provide the beneficiaries the opportunities to learn new skills and knowledge. During this year we have started to learn about different countries. This included eating and drinking things traditionally from this country. Our art activities give them a sense of achievement and pride which has a beneficial effect on their mental health. Often the activities we provide encourage the beneficiaries to continue with the new skill they have learnt. |

Para 1.20 | Dream CIO continue to meet at Yeadon Cricket Club. Our numbers of beneficiaries have now increased to the extent that we now have a waiting list to attend our sessions. We publish daily teasers on our facebook page which is @dreamnwleeds. We have been continuing to work on our community garden. We get lots of positive comments from the local community. One of the highlights of our year has been accessing a silent disco. This session was greatly received from our visually impaired and autistic beneficiaries. We continue to have trips out in the local area. One particular favourite was eating fish and chips and having a walk by the river. |
