of Leeds, especially Otley and Yeadon, who
are socially excluded from society, or parts
of society, as a result of being disabled, in

Para 1.17 and
1.19
Dream CIO continue to meet at Yeadon
cricket Club. We provide a weekly meeting
point every Monday afternoon between 1.30-
3.30 p.m. for our beneficiaries. During the
meeting we pass on information of interest to
our beneficiaries /support workers/carers
and volunteers. This may be from what is on
in the local area to disability related
information/events. We then provide a
different activity every week ranging from
arts/ craft sessions, meals/trips out,
community cafe, well being activities and
speakers on a variety of subjects. Our
activities provide the beneficiaries to learn
new skills that are transferrable to their daily
lives eg gardening growing their own nfrut
and vegetables. Our art activities give them
a sense of achievement and pride which has
a beneficial effect on their mental health.
Often the activities we provide encourage
the beneficiaries to continue with the new
skill they have learnt.

Achievements and performance

achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 Dream CIO continue to meet at Yeadon
Cricket Club. Our numbers of beneficiaries
have now increased to the extent that we
now have a waiting list to attend our
sessions.
We publish daily teasers on our facebook
page which is @dreamnwleeds.
One of the highlights of our year has been to
create a wheelchair accessible community
garden. This was made possible by a grant
from Scope. This is on a piece of land
owned by the cricket club which they have
allowed us to use. This consists of raised
and lower planters with a bench seat for
people to rest on. We worked with Season
Well who taught us how to grow vegetables
and fruit. As part of our gardening sessions
we planted hanging baskets which are
positioned on the pavilion of the cricket club.
Many local people have enjoyed watching
the garden develop. It has turned a derelict
piece of land into an attractive garden,.
