Brockworth Hedgehog Rescue research, rescue, rehabilitate and release native European hedgehogs in order to support and preserve the species for the public benefft. We give talks on our work with hedgehogs to the public including schools, communty groups and similar organisations. Section D Achievements and performance This financial year was another record year for admissions with 716 hedgehogs taken in the year. Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year In January we found a premises within 8rocthorth that we agreed to rent, we had to do a lot of work changing the new premises into a hedgehog rescue with a sh0p1repti0n area, a toilet for the volunteers, a volunteer kitchen, a hedgehog kitchen, a treatment room as well as larger area for the hosprtal area. For the first time we have applied for grants to help with running costs and projects such as new Gages. By the end of the year, we had over 40 volunteers with more needed. The new rescue will mean that we can take in more hedgehogs and stay open when due to hedgehog numbers in the past we had to close lo admissiona when full. The plan for 2024 is to raise funds for more of the cages we already have to increase the capacty. Section E TAR Financial review M8rch 2012
