**Objects:** 1) TO CONSERVE, OR ASSIST IN THE CONSERVATION OF, RAINFORESTS AND OTHER TROPICAL HABITATS AROUND THE WORLD, PARTICULARLY AREAS THAT STORE LARGE QUANTITIES OF CARBON TO HELP MITIGATE THE IMPACTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE, AND THOSE WHICH ARE HOME TO ENDANGERED SPECIES. THIS CONSERVATION IS ACHIEVED BY WORKING IN COLLABORATION WITH TRUSTED LOCAL ORGANISATIONS AND INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES TO PLACE THREATENED AREAS UNDER PERMANENT PROTECTION, EITHER THROUGH DESIGNATION AS LEGALLY PROTECTED AREAS, INDIGENOUS LAND TITLING OR LAND PURCHASE.2) TO ADVANCE THE AWARENESS AND EDUCATION OF PEOPLE IN THE UK CONCERNING THE ECOLOGICAL VALUE OF RAINFORESTS AND OTHER TROPICAL ECOSYSTEMS, AND THE NECESSITY FOR THEIR CONSERVATION TO SAVE ENDANGERED SPECIES, SUPPORT INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES AND MITIGATE CLIMATE CHANGE.

**Activities:** Rainforest Trust UK works in partnership with Rainforest Trust in the US to preserve and protect rainforests and other tropical habitat, particularly areas that are home to endangered species. We work in collaboration with trusted local NGOs and indigenous communities to place land under protection, either by land purchase or land designation as community forests or national parks.
