maintenance of a museum by: collecting, preserving, maintaining and
displaying (physically and virtually) a historically significant collection of
communication radios.|

||The Radio Communication Museum of Great Britain is a traditional
museum focused on the science and equipment of radio communication.
In addition to the display of equipment and documentation, the museum
provides training in software programming (coding), electronics design
and development and the construction and operation of radio
communication equipment and software to both children and adults.
The main activities undertaken for the public benefit include:
_the acquisition, cleaning and display of radiocommunication_
_equipment for the public to view and operate, thus expanding their_
_understanding about the history of radio communication and its relevance_

Section D Achievements and performance
**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**
Unfortunately, during the COVID close down we lost several volunteers to the virus and a number suffered from long Covid which has prevented their return to the volunteer team. This has considerably slowed down the work is preparing equipment for display We are now actively recruiting additional volunteers to continue to prepare the museum for full opening to the general public which we now expect to be during 2025/26.
During the reporting period, we continued to acquire equipment that has been cleaned for display. Where appropriate, equipment for use in the Operations Room has been restored.
An asset tracking system was developed with identification labels being attached to items on display and a computer database identifying the history of each asset and indicating if it is owned by the museum or on loan to the museum.

## **Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves**
This is our eighth year of operation. We knew at the outset that we would be reliant for our first few years on corporate and personal donations and loans. We had planned to operate broadly with a small loss for the first three years, a break even in years four and five and to start to create operational reserves from year six onwards. COVID put back this plan by at least four years.

Operating costs (including building lease and energy overheads) are being met by financial donations and loans from one of the Trustees and from the hiring out of some of the resources.
No grants were applied for during the reporting period.

Responsibilities and As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the basis of report accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act’).
