The constitution provides for a minimum of six and a M￿lMuM of twelve trust¢e5. The

Objtttiye
The objwt of the charity is to advanc¢ the education of the public in the history of Gloucester
Rugby Club and the part it h3s play¢d in the life of the City of Glouc¢st¢r and the County of
Gloucesiershire, by Collectit￿ preservin8 and sharin8 its herita8e.
Activities, Aehiewemellts Performance
There have been no changes 10 the consiiiuiion of the CIO. During the sixth year of th¢ CIO
from Sepiember2022 10 August 2023 there were four formal meeiittgs of the injstees. Existing
Injstees re-appN)inted when their temjs of ienure ran out. and iwo new tNstees ￿ere
appointed. During the pandemic. meeting5 of the trustees were held on Zoom. but face-tO-fac¢
Tne¢tings resumed during this reporting ￿lOd.
Eighi volunteers contribU￿d 2,019 hours of ￿Ork 10 GRH CIO activities. The majority of these
hUU￿ wer¢ expended on two knoks. "Glou¢¢￿er Rugby.. Th¢ Play¢r5" was publish¢d lowaTds
the end of 2022, Some costs defrayed by funding from six s￿T￿lS. Cotnplitnentary copies of
this txK>k wer¢ don8t¢d to every public library in GloucesteT5hire. Publication of th¢ bcM)k saw a
drop indemand forour p￿viousL￿ksartdOur DVD. Throughout theyear, rtsearchanddrafting
of our next book, "150 yea￿ orGlouces￿ Rugby" was underway; the book is scheduied for
publication by the end of 2023, and wryll cover both men and women teams.
We identified two fi￿￿er Olouceskrplayers who wcre killcd in WW2 and added their ngrnes to
the warmemorial ai Kin8sholm.
We received severa] colle£tions of memorabilia, the mosi signifjcani followin8 the death5 of
Allan To￿)send and Andy Mitchell. Erf)th of whom had been leading OtTicers of thc Club.
Material eorttinued to be pr(Auced Hnd loaded onto the CJRH w¢bsit¢, includin¥ appmximately
350 P￿8rd￿[￿¢S and 200 tnatch r¢port5. ()UT Tna5siv¢ w¢bsit¢ now compriK4 approximately
10,400 it¢ms. Ov¢r 16,000 I'isiis were made to the website during this r¢portin¥ y¢ar, and
multiple visitor comments and queries were followed up.

The relationship 15 expanding with the Gloucester Rugby Foundation, who send
reprcsenlative to all meetings of our trustee5. The Foundation use GRH resources in c￿]ng
out their community. welfare and schools activities.

FU￿re plans
It had been agreed that the CIO would provide ￿th visual and audio display% to fill g room at
The Folk. a new rnuseurn in Gloucester. Although displays have been pr¢par¢d, another y¢ar
has passed with no progress made towards Jnountin8 them, because The Folk has eonunuing
structural and health and safety issues with their grade 2 listed buildin85.
The CIO 15 as5i5ting Gloucester Rugby with celebrations to mark the 150 anniv¢rsary of the
Club in 2023-24. We plan to develop more access to our maierial on Social media through the
Gloucester Rugby Foundation.
It 15 planned io resume interviews of former players, which were suspended during the
pandemic, since these are one of the most popular features of our website. We will continue to
give ts]ks to other org￿liSationS including the Gloucester History Fe5tiva].
