## **Section E                    Financial review**

**Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves**

Balloon Circus operated a zero level reserves policy in 2021/22 on the basis that it does not employ any staff and the risk of unforseen emergency or other unexpected need for funds is small. The charity has no liabilities in terms of premises, equipment, pensions etc and no committed regular expenditure. It does not rely on regular income from grant applications or apply to deliver projects on a ‘matched funding’ basis. There is no cashflow issue - i.e. money is not spent or committed before it has been raised. However the trustees have agreed that the policy should be kept under review as demanded by the risk register and risk management policy.

**Details of any funds materially in deficit**

## **Further financial review details (Optional information)**

You **may choose** to include additional information, where relevant about:

- the charity’s principal sources of funds (including any fundraising);
