**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE LIFE, WORK AND TIMES OF THE VENERABLE BEDE BY SUPPORTING AND ASSISTING THE CHARITABLE WORK OF THE WORLD ACCORDING TO BEDE MUSEUM.

**Activities:** The CIO  encourages its members to promote a wider knowledge of the educational and cultural importance  of Bede and to support the values of scholarship and innovation as promoted by the Anglo Saxon monastery of Wearmouth/Jarow as continued today at the World According to Bede Museum or its successors known by any other name and/or to promote the legacy of the Venerable Bede generally.
