## **Summary of Activity** 

This is a small charity set up over 30 years ago to improve the standard of health care of the inhabitants of the area served by Tameside and Glossop Health Authority and its successor authorities by providing: 

(i) a continuing programme of Health Services education for doctors, dentists and other health and social care staff by means of lectures, seminars, workshops, skills labs and other events 

(ii) building up and maintaining a suitable medical library and Health Information Service resources. 

A sizable asset has built up in previous years. 

The Trustees role is primarily to ensure a fair distribution of these funds 

There are currently 2 Trustees with the addition of one and loss of one Trustee in the current year. We have completed a 2 year educational programme provided by Red Whale which included 2 all day events for 150 general practice clinical practitioners from Tameside and Glossop at each event, and the attendees having ongoing availability of the Red Whale training resources throughout the year after they attended. 

We are looking to acquire new Trustees and to seek further charity support form local GP practices through GoFundMe to continue  an ongoing educational programme
