## **Summary of Activity** 

This is a small charity set up over 30 years ago to improve the standard of health care of the inhabitants of the area served by Tameside and Glossop Health Authority and its successor authorities by providing: 

(i) a continuing programme of Health Services education for doctors,dentists and other health and social care staff by means of lectures,seminars,workshops,skills labs and other events 

(ii) building up and maintaining a suitable medical library and Health Information Service resources. 

A sizable asset of currently £54559 has built up in previous years. 

The Trustees role is primarily to ensure a fair distribution of these funds 

There are currently 3 Trustees and we have agreed to commit to a 2 year educational programme provided by Red Whale which will include 2 all day events for 150 general practice clinical practitioners from Tameside and Glossop at each event and the attendees will have ongoing availability of the Red Whale training resources throughout the year after they attend. There has already been one event on the 22[nd] April 2023 and there will be a further event in 2024. It is anticipated funding these events will cost approximately £42000
