This is a little note to our donors. This was the height of the first year of the pandemic and our concentration has been on working within our civilian front line work.  This year has been an unusual time for the charity due to difficulty in fundraising and physically travelling to deliver and manage projects. April 2020 Covid-19 restrictions decreased methods of building on Refugee  awareness and this has affected our fundraising for our  projects. However, we as trustees are thrilled to raise the amount we did in these circumstances. All three of the trustees are keyworkers, two nurses and a teacher which impacted our charity commitments due to our own challenging employments in the UK. 

In September 2020, Moria refugee detention camp in Lesvos was burnt down. Our UK community effort collected and organised a Shipping container of aid for Lesvos, Greece refugees. 

In November 2020, we assisted with the ARAP program by donating 15 bags of toys to Afghan Nationals in UK Hotels that had been evacuated from Kabul. This led to a further larger collection of clothing, footwear and toys. UK projects have seen an increase in volunteers, whom have kindly helped sort and organise aid for distribution to refugees. Our collaboration with Blackburn with Darwen Refugee organisations and the Methodist Church in Blackburn has enabled our storage costs to be kept to a minimum. 

## **Future September 2022 onwards** 

The trustees have been undertaking Leadership study days to enable us as a team to upskill and deliver leadership programs. Our UK clothing and footwear assistance to refugees is concurrent.  Our medicals skills will mean reacting more immediately and incisively to medical emergencies.  Thank you to all those who are on this humanitarian journey, your support and trust in us is valued.
