Activities and Achiev8mants At the start of the financial year our Pre-school was at full capacity. We had some great news that we had been considered for a new building. I worked hard in bidding and trying to get the new premises, with the support of the local school, Dartey Dale Primary School. In June we got the news thatwe had got the new premises, thatwas once occupied by Mencap. In June we had the Police come and visit and the child￿n enjoyed sitting in the police care. We also followed on with road safety and leaming to cross the road safely. Y￿e also purchased sorTE caterpillars, the children enjoyed watching them change into butterfiies. The children had transitions to school which was very positive and we held our graduation for our school leaver5. In August Ive started to move premises. Lots of volunteers helped us to move and set up our new building ready for September. The new building is a lot bigger than our previous setting and we have windows and a lovely bright room. Our capacty previously was 20, with the new premises we were able to increase our numbers, which was much needed in the area. to take up to 40 children a day. In September we opened our new Pre-school. Sarah. the deputy manager, returned from maternity leave. In December we had our Christmas paty where Santa visited and the children received a present. We recruited additional staff due to our numbers increasing. In March we were running at full capacity and our first Iwo terms in the new setting had made a positive impact to our Pre-school. We started to do Forest Schools with the children, as we are now on the school premises we are very lucky to be able to share some facilities with the school.
