Wesley Centre has a significant and important part to play in the ministry and mission of the Christian presence in the town centre of Harrogate. It provides a base from which Christian and community groups and charities function. These include the Wesley Chapel Methodist congregation, Harrogate Homeless Project, and Wesley Concerts, as well as good working relationships with groups such as Supporting Older People, Mencap and Harrogate International Festival. The key vulnerability in this respect is that approximately 40% of our income comes from one tenancy. The current reserve is considered adequate but needs to be reviewed regularly, if for example, any further major repair work on any of our buildings is required.
