THE DRILL HALL, CHEPSTOW CHARITABLE INCORPORATED ORGANISATION REGISTERED CHARITY NUMBER 1168818 TRUSTEES REPORT 2022 - 2023
The Drill Hall Chepstow CIO was established in August 2016 to submit a capital asset transfer to the big lottery it was successful in the 1st round received a grant of £41,665 in October 2017 towards legal and professional costs.
Unfortunately in February 2018 we were informed that stage II of the lottery bid had been unsuccessful.
Chepstow Town Council holds the lease of the Drill Hall from Monmouthshire County Council and have yet to decide on the future governance of the hall and whether the Drill Hall CIO will have any role in the management of the Drill Hall.
The Drill Hall CIO is currently in suspension. The trustees did not meet during the year 2022- 2023 .
The charity had no income during that period.
Chepstow town Council is still planning to extend the lease of the Drill Hall from Monmouthshire County Council. It is currently envisaged that the CIO may possibly assume responsibility for the management of the Drill Hall in the future. To this end, meetings to clarify the position of current trustees and recruit new ones will be called in 2023-2024
