Wild Hogs Hedgehog Rescue is an RSPCA approved rescue and a mernber of the British
lildlife Rehabililation Council. We are also part of the Gloucestershire H8dg8hog Network, a
local group of hedgehog rehabilitators.
In 2024, we admitted 522 hedgehogs, an increase in admissions and we remain committed
to the highest standards of animal welfare and rehabilitation practice. We have adopted the
British Wildlife Rehabilitation Council principles and are working with DEFRA to ensure we
support their research into Hedgehog Arterivirus HhAV1.
The charity has over 40 volunteers, and we continue to provide opportunltles for young
people taking Duke of Edinburgh placements, school work experience and college aiiimal
management studies. We also contribute to research and are involved with Nottingham Trent
Universily.
We provide free rescue and rehabilitation services across Gloucestershire to support
members of Ihe public who have found sick or injured wildlife. We raise awareness of
hedgehog conservation through a range of community and school talks and events.
