Activities
The Charity provides sponsorship funds to a Maasai community in southern Kenya, primarily to enable high school age children to attend school and subsequently college or university. Funds are also provided for the maintenance of a borehole and drainage for a vegetable garden as well as support for a community centre to enable education and the continuance of Maasai culture.
Objects: For The Public Benefit, Particularly In The Kajiado North And Kajiado West Counties Of Kenya, And Working Particularly But Not Exclusively With A Large Community In The Region:1:the Prevention Or Relief Of Poverty By Providing Grants And Support To Individuals In Need, As The Trustees See Fit, And To Organisations In The Area Working To Prevent Or Relieve Poverty;2.to Advance In Life And Relieve Needs Of Young People Under The Age Of 25 By Providing Support And Activities Which Develop Their Skills, Capacities And Capabilities To Enable Them To Participate In Society As Mature And Responsible Individuals;3.to Advance Education In Such Ways As The Charity Trustees See Fit;4.to Develop The Capacity And Skills Of Members Of The Socially And Economically Disadvantaged Community In Such Way That They Are Better Able To Identify And Help Meet Their Needs And To Participate More Fully In Society.nothing In This Deed Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Ofthe Charity For Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance Withsection 7 Of The Charities And Trustee Investment (scotland) Act 2005and/or Section 2 Of The Charities Act (northern Ireland) 2008.
