Summary of the purposes of the
charity as set out in its
governing document
The purpose of Friends of Belham (FOB) is to advance the education of
pupils at The Belham Primary School (the School) in particular by".
Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and
others associated with the school;
Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support
the school and advance the education of the pupils.

accounts.
1. Organising family and parent events for the school
community: ceilidh, black history month cinema, egg hunt,
school winter fair and summer fair, disco, quiz night, camping
weekend and bake sales.
2. Fundraising to purchase equipment or services which support
the school and the education of the pupils, and to support
families of Belham pupils who are experiencing financial
difficulty.
In the year 2024-25, FOB had income of £48,919.32 and expenditure of
£53,344.05.
FOB received donations of £2,695.92 and income from fundraising
activities of £46,223.60.
Expenses for fundraising activities totalled £22,399.14, with further
running costs of £1,883.60.

Spending on charitable activities totalled £29,061.31, most of which
related to grants to The Belham Primary School to Teimburse them for
various expenditure, such as a theatre trip for every pupil, but also
included purchase of items to donate to The Belham Primary School
(such as fans for classrooms) and direct spending to benefit pupils of
The Belham Primary School.

The trustees had due regard to the commission's public benefit
guidance when they exercised their powers and duties. All activities
have been in accordance with the charity's purposes.
Social and fundraising events have been open to all members of the
school community, and in some cases the wider local community.
Expenditure of funds has been for the benefit of pupils at the school.
There has been no personal benefit to the trustees.
Friends of Belham is entirely reliant on the contribution of volunteers,
mostly parents and carers of children at the school. All the trustees are
volunteers. Class representatives volunteer their time to help coordinate
communication and activities in their respective classes, and often
attend and contribute to committee meetings.

as a whole.
The social events held by Friends of Belham have enhanced the school
community, giving parents, carers, pupils and their siblings a chance to
meet and socialise. Activities also promote social good, for example
through the organisation of second-hand unrform sales, promoting
sustainability in the communty. Events also promote local
volunteerism, with numerous parent volunteers involved across the
year at various events.
School Fairs held in summer and winter and the outdoor cinema are
also open to the wider local communty, offering a chance for them to
engage with and support the school.
Spending of funds has gone towards advancing the education of the
pupils through the enhancement of the school environment, facilities
and the experience of all pupils, such as theatre trips.
An emphasis has been made on ensuring events are accessible to low-
income families by keeping entry fees low or zero for most events, with
the option to donate. The charity also pays for leavers, hoodies and
yearbooks for pupil premium families and subsidises the Y6 leavers,
prom.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity ("the Trust.) for the year ended 311812025
Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation
basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act
2011 ('the Act").
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have
come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me
cause to believe that in, any material respect:
accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of
the Act or
the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection
with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a
proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
