Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit
Within the year HTP planted in excess of 1000 trees as well as continuing to maintain previously planted trees within the Hackney area.
HTP also undertook the production and sales of the bi-annual calendar with some fantastic photographs taken, this informs the public of their activities and some current projects.
Public benefit statement
The Trustees confirm that they have complied with the duty in section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the Charity Commission's general guidance on public benefit, 'Charities and Public Benefit'.
Summary of the main achievements during the period
HTP continue to upgrade and improve the tree nursery, within the year a new composting toilet was constructed. HTP are progressing discussions with The London Borough of Hackney to develop new facilities within the nursery.
HTP also carried out an extensive tree survey within the London Borough of Hackney.
Financial review
As can be seen below, The HTP have had a good year with plenty of activity. Whilst there has been a higher level of receipts and payments compared to 2021 the overall net result was an increase to net receipts/payments of 10%.
The main reason for the increase in financial activity is the tree survey work we completed for LBH.
The charity’s policy on reserves
The charity has no specific policy with regard to the level of reserves.
