## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

It was a successful year of fundraising. Our charity performed well this past year, raising funds for Sheringdale Primary School and its pupils. 

- Christmas fundraising activities raised £17,461.58. This included the sale of Christmas trees, a Christmas Raffle, Christmas Fair, Santa’s Grotto and Games plus other Christmas stalls. 

- The Summer Raffle and Fair raised £13,308 

- Class Cake Sales raised £2,895 

- School disco raised £3,463 

- Further funds of £2,935 were generated from several initiatives, including Bags 2 School collection £542 and PE T’shirts £1308 Donations from other sources such as Easy Fundraising and Amazon Smile contributed £905, .

These are the main highlights of the accounts for the 2024/2025 academic year. 

## FUNDRAISING - £42,018 

The PTA had another successful year of fundraising, generating a total income of **£42,018** through a wide range of events and initiatives. This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the continued support of our families, volunteers and wider school community. 

Our Christmas fundraising activities were once again our biggest success, raising **£18,050** through the Christmas Fair, raffle, Santa's Grotto, games and other festive activities. 

The Summer Fair raised an excellent **£13,358** , while our School Disco generated **£2,739** 

Class Cake Sales continued to be well supported, raising **£2,770** , and Quiz Night contributed **£1,697** . 

Additional income of **£3,404** came from a variety of initiatives, including: 

- T-shirt sales – **£1,731** 

- Other funding and donations – **£1,130** 

- Bags2School collection – **£542** 

Together, these events have enabled the PTA to continue providing valuable support and enrichment opportunities across the school. 

## EXPENDITURE - £51,718 

The funds raised this year have been invested directly back into the school, helping to enhance children's learning experiences and support a wide range of enrichment opportunities. 

The costs of running our fundraising events totalled **£12,589** , including: 

- Christmas activities – **£6,240** 

- Summer Fair – **£3,641** 

- School Disco – **£1,702** 

- Quiz Night – **£1,004** 

In addition, the PTA provided significant funding to the school, including: 

- School infrastructure improvements – **£17,797** 

- School coach transport for educational visits – **£8,146** 

- Various student enrichment activities such as books, 3D printers etc  – **£3,759** 

- Class Cake Sale spending on classroom activities and enrichment – **£3,845** 

- Reception mural – **£3,130** 

- Other student expenses – **£1,297** 

- Year 6 Leavers' contributions – **£600** 

- Staff gifts and donations – **£75** 

The PTA also continued to meet its operating costs, including Parentkind membership and insurance ( **£162** ), website costs ( **£120** ) and bank subscription fees ( **£200** ) 




## COMMITMENTS 

- The PTA aims to maintain a minimum cash reserve of **£5,000** to provide sufficient working capital for future fundraising events and day-to-day operations. 

- Following another successful fundraising year, we have been able to make substantial investments across all areas of the school while continuing to build reserves for future capital projects. We are pleased to have funds available to support a significant school improvement project during the 2025/2026 academic year, with further details to be shared with parents in due course. 

## ASSETS 

- The PTA remains in a healthy financial position, with sufficient cash reserves of £35,186 to support future fundraising activities while continuing to invest in enriching the educational experience of all pupils. 

## OTHER 

- The PTA continues to be a member of **Parentkind** , with an annual membership cost of **£162** . This membership includes specialist insurance through Zurich, providing cover for all PTA-organised events and volunteers.
