General Charitable Purpose - To advance such charitable purposes (according to the law of England and Wales, and the tenets and doctrine of the Islamic faith belonging to the Ahl al-Sunnah wa alJamah) as the trustees see fit from time to time.

Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects

SUQYA Foundation currently makes grants/donations to other charitable organisations by way of one off and recurring contributions towards specific projects.

SUQYA Foundation’s grants contribute to enabling the establishing, running and maintaining of educational establishments, refugee camps, orphanages, shelters, counselling services, medical centres, soup kitchens and places of worship & contemplation for the benefit of the public, as well as climate positive activities, such as planting trees and funding carbon offsetting initiatives.

SUQYA Foundation’s aim is to help and benefit people and the planet with lasting solutions to overcome abuse, hunger, homelessness, conflict and displacement; to provide education and social cohesion and climate positive change.

Achievements and performance

Through the grace of Allah our provision of emergency relief aid was sent to Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Palestine and the Uighur refugees in Turkey this year.

We built 4 more water dams in Mali, continued with construction of village in Syria.

We sponsored 2 Schools in Albania.

Provided support to locals within London area in need of financial support (mostly refugees and asylum seekers).

Continuation of grants for:

Orphan sponsorship in Lebanon

Women’s refuge centre in the UK

Post diploma training programme for graduates of Higher Islamic Education training Imams and alike on how to deal with current wide-ranging social issues in the UK
