charty {Ihe Trust.) for the year ended 3010912025.

basis of report
As the charitys trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
('the Ad").
I report in respect of my examination of Ihe Trusf s accounts carried out
undei se￿10n 145 of the 2011 Act and in Carying out my examination. I
have followed all the applicable DireCt￿)n$ given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5Kb) of the Act.

We organise a range of folk muS￿-baSed
events, includin9 an annual Kirnpton Folk
Festival, at which we strive to show&2se
h￿h qualty perfomiances. Thts indudes
performan￿ by leading national folk
musicians along wth local musKians, a
Ceilidh at which all are encouraged to

rnembe￿ of tho publ￿ to folk fnusic and to
the p*ing of drferent musical instruments.
Performers are encouraged to explain the
backgr(MJnd to all pieces to enhan￿ their
audIen￿'S appreciation of the MUS￿ and of
the folk tr*Jition and its Importa￿e to local
c(xnmunities. Many of the activrties at the
Kirnpton Folk Festival are free of charge in
Ofder to encourage atter#Jance and
participation by as many local people as
possible and Ihus to serve as an
intrryjuct￿ to musi¢. the folk tradition and
local cornrnunty ￿TrI11￿. The Folk
FestNal al80 includes stalL8 selling
traditional crafts and produce, Morris
Dancin
and other traditional actrvrties.

We also cywise aThJ put on folk music
evenings on 2 evenings each rnonlh at
which local musicians perfomi fc4k songs,
play fdk rnusic and recite poetry to
audiences. There is no tharge for
attendance at these folk evenings and all
perfcffmers are encouraged to ￿ttr￿dUCe
their songyJmusicJpoems ty explaining the
history andlor background of Ihe piece in
order to inforn and educate am those
attending and to maximw their
apPreck￿l0n of each piece and hrm it frts in
the folk tradition. Accounts.. No charges are
made for atterularte at these evening and
no fees ate paid: thus there is no Income or
