CHILDREN AND YOUTH ACTIVITIES Stay & Play Stay & Play Gontinues to be a popular session. The children arrive Slrayhl from school full of energy and enthusia$m ft>r the games, toys, crafts and a chance lo s￿￿11$e with their friends. The Stay & Play sessions begin with tea, as a hard day al school makes for ravenous children. This glve8 famllie8 the opportunity to develop 8klllB required lo make family meal8, bakes and Ireals. Adults and chlldren learn how lo follow a reclpe, develop knowledge of methods of Cooking, weighing skills an¢J measuring skills. The focus 18 on providing meals for th¢ famlly Ihal are not only budgel.friendly but al80 delicious and nulrilious. Each week the famllles are provlded with a printed re¢ipe which they lake away in their folders to recreate at home. •1 *.••.••.••.*•. CHILDREN AND YOUTH ACTIVITIES Lot's Get Actlve Let's Get Active involves just as it says, getting active, whether It's outdoors wilh bikes and s¢ooters, balls and hoops, going out on trips, visits'ng the community or playing games. but whatever happens it a￿ayS involve3 fun, food and lols of laughter. Youlh Wednesday youth se88ions continue lo be very popular. wllh our attendance numbers reaching nearly 30 young people, 2025 was another great year for our youth sessions. We ¢ont4nued to work with plenty of amazing and inspiring young people,. il ha¥ been a fantastic expeiience watching our members grow and develop more COnf￿enCe and other skills. We've also had a 3le8dy flow of new young people attending our sessions and bringing their friend¥ a$ well. op Throughout the year, the young people look part in many different activities such as laser tsg, football, baking, fitness, a trip to Ninla Warrior and created plenty of amazing art 'n crafts. We have been working closely with the Junction Foundation $0 we can reach young people currenlty not accessing our support or groups and offer new ways for them lo engage with us. We've been working wth the older youth members and giving them the ¢hance to help pkn and lead activit￿. and to look after the younger members of our youth group. CHILDREN AND YOUTH ACTIVITIES School Holiday Provlslon Our school holiday sessions, trips and events have continued in 2025 and have become even more popular than before. With Ihe cost of living rising, we have seen a noticeable increase in families accessing our support and sessions during the school holidays. To provide fvn & engaging activities, we have continued with our open gardens & our youth sessions which provide those in North Ormesby a safe and welcoming Space to attend which also offers healthy hom8 cooked meals, games, crafts and sports. We 81$0 ran hvo Irlps lo Tweddl8 Fami, allowing th• young people a Ghance to see the now baby animals in¢luding being able lo hold and feed them in spring. and a GhanGe lo pick & carve their Thvn pumpkin5 during our October Throughout 2025 we also ran our annual pancake party, Good Friday celebration event and Christma8 ¢ommunity party. which indudad a visit from Santa Clau8, who provided every child with a present. Sufflmqr Trlp• The summer of 2025 was anolhor busy but fun and successful summer for TYCP. We ¢onliTrued to run our open garden8 and youth sessions whilst a150 bringing baGk our weekty family trips. Thi5 ygar we travellgd to Seaton Carew for a fun day al the beach including mini golf as well a$ fish & ¢hip$,' our annual Preston Park Picnic trip,. a vi$il lo Leeds Tropical World to view all the Iropi¢al animals.. a summer farm trip and our annual Swainby Adventu￿ Day Trip. The trips all went well. and the families all had a lot of fun.
