Trustees’ Report for the Year Ended 31 December 2023
Objectives and activities for the public benefit
The purposes of the CIO are:
-
the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the Basis of Faith, primarily, but not exclusively, within Little Paxton and the surrounding neighbourhood; and
-
such other charitable purposes, consistent with the Basis of Faith, as shall in the opinion of the charity trustees, facilitate the work of the Fellowship.
The furtherance of these purposes has led to the growth of a congregaon of Chrisans, who are spiritually united as one body and a part of the wider body of Christ. Such congregaon is referred to in the constuon of the CIO and this report as “the Fellowship.”
When planning the acvies of the Fellowship for the year, the Trustees have considered the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit and in parcular, the specific guidance on charies for the advancement of religion.
We have connued to seek to freely share the good news of the Chrisan faith with all people in Lile Paxton and the surrounding area, with a desire to see people become disciples of Jesus Christ and grow in their faith in him. We are commied to teaching the Bible and prayer and desire to help Chrisans to grow in their faith and to live lives of love, which seek to do good to all.
The Fellowship organised many acvies during the year in support of its objecves and for the public benefit. These acvies were adjusted in response to the coronavirus pandemic and associated restricons throughout the year. The acvies included Sunday services for all ages (in person and online), midweek homegroups, ladies’ and men’s Bible study groups, and a midweek youth group. We also have a desire to see the Chrisan faith grow in other areas and countries and to this end we have supported Chrisan work and acvies in the UK and abroad through our missionary partnership team.

On a typical Sunday morning 60 – 80 adults and children have aended with 10-20 aending the evening services.
The Fellowship set aside 20% of all donaons for the support of missionary work.
