FAMILY LINK PROGRAMME
The pro8ramme 15 funded by sponsors who support individual lamilies with a portitin going to administration and
tran5POrt. Sponwrs malnty comÈfrom a nurnberofchurd￿ throu8houtthe UK. Duritvdthisyear32frdmilies were helped
with the charity providlngfood par￿[5. medicir*s and in 50meca5e5 help with rents or locatln8SUit3ble accommodation
for those INing adverse poverty. Due to Covid it ￿ expected that unemployment will increase puttlng more demand
on the thariws resources. Currendy approximatety one hundred ar￿ sixty people of all ages are supported through this
scheme.

DAY CENTRES
The charity provides 3 day centres, ￿40 in Elbasan and one in Peqin - a local town. The Bread of ￿le centre in Elbasan
provides a hot meal and a safe warni place foraround wty dderly peoplealong with a Kindergarten provlding pre-school
education and 3 meal to underprivileged children.The other 2 day centre5 prowde a range of educational needs and an
after school homework dub. These too offer a hot meal for those who need it. Many familie5 in Albania Ilve in adverse
poverty and often do notsend their thildren to a5they use them forworkor begging. The aim is to educate these
familles and to 8et their chitdren into state schools.
THE HOUSE OF oPPORTUN￿y
Thi5 PTojert is based in a building In the town t￿tre. It provides SUPFK)rt for young adu￿5 who mainfy come from
orphana8es where they are expected to leave at the a8e of 16. Many of them have nowhere to Èo and very little
prospects. The building provides a home and supportto help thwn to find a better pathway into the future. It is hoped
that with the r*ht funding this projert will expand nextyear.
FOOD BANKALBANiA
AID TO THE BALKANS UK IA2BI is the base in Ubasan for the charity'Foc*l Bank Albania. based in fsrana. We provide
resour￿, transport and staff to distribu￿ food parcds to the wir and needy in the area. The food generalty comes
from local superrnarkets.

In the summer months AIDTO THE BALKANS UK IA2BI ran 3 weeks of thildren's camps. the 5rope of the projects grew
as covid restrictions began to be scaled back. FLX)d, games. traft and otheraciivtknes aimedto showthechildren a brighter
fvture forthèmselve5. and to encourage children to takeadvantage of the edUcat￿nal and other opportunities thatthev
are presented with.
Vaflous sthool visits with. for example. the foodbank projett took place over the year with the aim to raise awareness
of the thallenge5 of poverty in Albania.

the case for the whole of the yearto 31 Marth 2022.
Giving and other incc*ne recefj￿d to fund A2Vs work during the year amounted to £64,659, 3 reduction of 12%
compared to that in 2021. In 2021 the Chafity benefitted from ￿nerouS ontroff glfts and a significant response to the
Covid recovery appeal. Gfft Aid relief is a wndpal element of the ChariWs income. and the amount received durin8
