## **Trustees’ Annual Report for 2025** 

The Friends of Brixworth Church have formally approved the Financial Statements for the year ended 2025, which will be filed with the Charity Commission in due course. 

The charity achieved a positive cash surplus of £1,183 for the year. All categories of income saw increases this year, with fundraising events providing the largest share of the income as in previous years. Alongside established events such as the Curry and Quiz night and the Brixworth Lecture, this year saw the Friends collaborate with the Pantaloons theatre company in their production of Robin Hood. This was very well received and the Pantaloons will be returning for another performance this year. 

The Friends made several contributions towards the upkeep of the church during 2025, in response to requests from the Parochial Church Council. This included £4,000 for the decoration of the west wall of the church. 

The Friends were able to finance the requested payments and daily expenditure out of their receipts and did not need to use reserves. 

2026 will see the Quinquennial church inspection, in which it is expected the Friends will contribute significantly towards the cost of maintaining the church that are identified.
