## **Objectives and Activities** 

To preserve and protect human life and property, in particular, but not exclusively, by providing equipment, vehicles and other resources to offer support in adverse conditions. To promote and represent the 4x4 Response movement at National and Regional level. 

All activities within 4x4RESPONSE are conducted by unpaid volunteers, (currently 4 Trustees, 6 Regional Managers, 1 Media Lead, 1 Training Lead and 1 Fundraising Lead), and all the activities of the 35+ regional groups and approximately 2500 responders around the UK.  4x4 Response UK does not act directly but supports the activities of the various geographically arranged groups around the country. 

## **Achievements and Performance** 

As an umbrella organisation, 4x4 Response aims to provide a resource for the member groups as a store of knowledge, best practise, administrator for the national radio licence, liaison for Resilience Direct, and a central point of contact for any national organisation, statutory or voluntary, looking for logistical support. 

In the last year, 4x4 Response UK has welcomed 2 new trustees.  We have also started on a project to identify and promote a set of minimum standards applicable to all member groups.
