## **Objectives and Activities** 

To preserve and protect human life and property, in particular, but not exclusively, by providing equipment, vehicles and other resources to offer support in adverse conditions. To promote and represent the 4x4 Response movement at National and Regional level. 

All activities within 4x4RESPONSE are conducted by volunteers, (currently 3 Trustees, 8 Regional Managers, 1 Media Lead, 1 Training Lead and 1 Fundraising Lead), and all the activities of the 35+ regional groups and around 2500 volunteers around the UK are unpaid. 

## **Achievements and Performance** 

As an umbrella organisation, 4x4 Response aims to provide a resource for the member groups as a store of knowledge, best practise, administrator for the national radio licence, liaison for Resilience Direct, and a point of contact for any national organisation, statutory or voluntary, looking for logistical support in abnormal times. 

4x4 Response UK does not act directly but supports the activities of the various geographically arranged groups around the country. 

The primary impact on all groups this year has been the response to Covid-19, some groups have had their busiest year ever, some one of their quietest.  Around the country, all local 4x4 Response groups have been ready to assist where called upon, and put in place the risk assessments, new operating procedures and training to allow our volunteers to carry out any tasking in the safest ways possible, in line with current health guidelines.
