The financial statement complies with the Charities Act 2011 and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standards for Small Entities (effective January 2015). ## **Aims & Objectives** To promote for the benefit of inhabitants of Chester le Street and the surrounding areas, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions, the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need for such facilities within the context of the Riverside Park, Chester le Street, County Durham. ## **Review of Achievements & Performance** Despite the breakdown as reported by the then Treasurer Paul Evans – FoRP volunteers continued with the support of Cestrian Community Volunteers, and we managed to continue as a group. Both Audrey Willis and Clare Todd – named as Trustees wished to continue the group and were glad that this could happen with support from DCC and Cestrian Community Volunteers. With the support of Durham County Council Health and Safety policies were agreed and this meant insurance for public liability could be obtained, however the volunteers continue to be covered by Cestrian Community Volunteers until such time as to resolve access to FoRP funds. We have held our Annual Easter Egg Hunt with the sponsorship of the onsite café who supplied the chocolate easter eggs for the children. This continues to be a very successful and well supported event. Work continues in the park gardens by volunteers and a Gold standard was achieved in Northumbria in Bloom once again this year. Registered Charity Number 1168443 ## **Financial Review** The CIO banks with Santander using a ‘Treasurer’s Current Account’. During this financial year no funds were raised for the FoRP group. The CIO has no assets, no depreciation, no investments, no debtors, no creditors, no liabilities and a cash balance of £762, arising from previous donations and ‘member’s subscriptions. Accounts will be filed using the Charity Commission’s ‘Receipts & Payments’ template. ## **Public Benefit Statement** In exercising their powers and duties the Trustees have complied with their duty to have due regard to the guidance on ‘public benefit’ published by the Charity Commission for England and Wales. ## **Preparation of This Report** This report has been prepared in accordance with guidance published by the Charity Commission in March 2015, entitled ‘Charity Reporting and Accounting – The Essentials’, and is signed on behalf of the Trustees by, Clare Todd Trustee and Secretary Registered Charity Number 1168443 ||**Charity Name**
