The organisation aims to provide a safe, fully equipped, welcoming
location. predominately but not exclusively for older members of the
community who live in Colden Common and the surrounding villages.
Our aim is to offer somewhere to meet, take part in workshop activities if
so desired, but more importantly to socialise and overcome possible
isolation of the members.
Activities are aimed at both the personal projects of members, but more
predominately at group projects to produce items either for sale to
support local funds, or for local groups such as the local Primary School,
local playgroups, churches and the local Community Association.
Summary ofthe main
activities undertaken for the
public benefit in relation to
these objects (include within
this section the statutory
declaration that trustees have
had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity
Commission on public
benefit)
In planning activities, we have had regard to the Charity Commissions
guidance on public benefit. An example of this, is we have opened up to
non-members in the area to join us on our organised trips out.
