## 2025 AGM - November TB ~~C~~[ th] ~~a~~

## Treasurer’s Report for year ending 3 ~~1~~[ st] August 2025

The FPTA had yet another very successful fundraising year - a huge thank you to the Community and in particular the new Events committee.

The opening balance on 1[ st ] Sep 2024 was **£18,670** (of which £150 held as cash for events).

This year we raised a gross income of £33,985 and after the cost of Events and Admin, this was a **Net Income of £29,965** (vs £35k last year) **.** This included:-

   - £12,708 Net Income from FPTA events (up £3k y/y and our biggest year ever!). Loopy Lapathon still our biggest fundraiser (£3.6k) & Summer fair income almost doubled to £2.9k

   - £14,283 from one off donations and grants (up £1k y/y )

      - Quiet Area Grants: £4.5k from Turner Dumbrells, £2.2k Soutover, £0.6k SNDP

      - £6.7k one off donations (£4k for laptops) and parent led fundraising,

      - £1,764 Monthly parent donations (from 10 parents - up £180 y/y)

   - £1,532 from Easy Fundraising and the village Swap’n’Share

- _Details of money raised at individual events are on the Income and Expenditure document attached._

Throughout the year, we **donated £37,397** to the school (up £12.2k y/y) as we continued to support the school with new Learning schemes and improved facilities in addition to our Annual Commitments . In particular, we supported our Governing Document through:

   - £31,936 towards Facilities and Equipment including: £6k TD Grant on the Nursery wet pour and £12.7k on the Quiet Area (including £4.5k TD Grant and £2k further Grants); £5,469 on furniture and; £2,460 on Class Lists

   - £4,062 towards Lessons and resources including the Accelerated Reader Scheme, Nursery French lessons & First news subscription

- _Details of these items are on the attached Income and Expenditure report. Administration costs were £382._

Income was lower than spending this year, a deficit of £7,433, and the **Year End balance was £11,237** held as £1,082 bank balance and £10,005 on 31st August 2025 and £150 cash. Of this balance, £1083 is from Grants and ring fenced for the Quiet Area.

- Our known costs for the year ahead are £10,593:

   - £7,010 for Annual Commitments and Admin costs of which £1.5k due by Jan’26

      - _These are reviewed every year and a list is available on request_

   - £2,500 for the Annual Class budgets of which I budget £1k by Jan ‘26

   - £1083 Grant income for Quiet Area to be ringfenced until spent

Allowing for a £1k buffer, this leaves us with around £3k to spend immediately on the school’s new Annual Wishlist and I forecast we will have a further £10k to spend for this year excluding Grants.

In line with Charity Commission recommendations, last year we adopted several school and Parent Kind Governance policies and our Internal Financial Controls are reviewed annually.

Camila Lewis, Treasurer

_The accounts for the year ending 31[ st ] August 2025 are being independently examined by Jason Blackman_ _**.** An Internal Financial Controls review was conducted in Sep 2025 and a copy is available on request._
