FPTA of Ditchling Nursery and Primary School _Registered Charity 1168313_

AGM 12th Oct 2022

## Treasurer’s Report for year ending 3 ~~1~~[ st] August 2022 for AGM

_The accounts for the year ending 31[ st ] August 2022_ _**will be independently examined by Jason Blackman.** A copy of the income and expenditure for the year is attached._

1st September 2021 - 31st August 2022 was the FPTA’s biggest ever fundraising year as we saw the return of our fundraising events and a huge amount of extra support from parents and local grants.

The opening balance on 1[ st ] Sep 2021 was **£6,594.47** (reconciling to a bank balance of £6004.56 after accruals and late payments from 2020-21).

This year we raised a gross income of £27,831.65 and after the cost of Events, this was a **Net Income of £23,307.25.** This included:-

- £15,240.51 Net Income from FPTA fundraising events including

   - £5000 from the Village Ball (biannual)

- £5,713.25 from one off donations and grants including

   - £2000 from Turner Dumbrells

   - £1090.50 one off donations from parent led fundraising

   - £650 collection on behalf of Mrs Thomson to fund the Reading Den

   - £903 Gift matching

   - £835.16 collection for teacher gifts usually organised by individual classes

- £1,036.41 Monthly parent donations (from 7 parents)

- £564.09.30 Easy Fundraising and Amazon Smile (up £105 y/y)

_Details of money raised at individual events are on the Income and Expenditure document attached (this years’ figures are to the left, last years’ figures for comparison, are to the right)._

Throughout the year, we **donated £11,530.11** to the school. This is down £1200 y/y due to changing IT strategy (and so moving £3,000 budget to the 2022-23 wishlist) and a delay to school decoration works. In particular, we supported our Governing Document through:

- £8,329 towards Facilities and Equipment including £5,150 to the Reading Den

- £2,123 towards Lessons and resources

_Details of these items are on the Income and Expenditure document. Administration costs were £332.00._

Income this year exceeded spending by £11,445.14 leaving us in a position to fully fund the school’s 2022-23 IT ask. The **Year End balance was £18,039.61** held as £17,839.51 bank balance on 31st August 2021 of £18,039.61 and £200.10 cash (as we revert to all spending happening in year).

Going forward we will budget £4,366 for annual commitments and Admin costs. In addition we have agreed to support the school with the following:

- 32 laptops and charging trolley

- New Visiline for classrooms and projector for the hall

- Decorating the School hall and Reading Den

- £250 to each class (including nursery and Forest School) for their own wishlists

- To fund a second wishlist in Apr 2023 contingent on fundraising in H1

Camila Lewis, Treasurer
