Activities
Waterloo Uncovered was established in 2015, the Battle of Waterloo's bicentenary, to undertake the first major excavation of the battlefield, and support serving personnel and veterans in their recovery, education and return (transition) to civilian life. The charity includes education and welfare as charitable objectives, and encourages multinational collaboration.
Objects: To Advance The Education Of The Public By Undertaking And Promoting The Archaeological Exploration And Study Of Sites Of Military Interest;to Provide Education And Vocational Skills Training To The Public Generally But In Particular (and Without Prejudice To The Generality Of The Foregoing) To Those Who Are Currently Serving Or Who Have Served Or Who Have Been Wounded Or Injured Whilst Serving In The Armed Forces By Participation In The Archaeological Exploration And Study Of Sites Of Military Interest;to Assist Persons Who Are Currently Serving Or Who Have Served In The Armed Forces, And Their Dependents, By Advancing Any Lawful Charitable Purpose At The Discretion Of The Trustees Including (but Without Prejudice To The Generality Of The Foregoing) The Relief Of Veterans In Need Because Of Illness Or Injury, Disability, Financial Hardship Or Other Disadvantage; The Promotion Of The Efficiency Of The Armed Forces Through (but Without Prejudice To The Generality Of The Foregoing) By Providing Opportunities For Injured, Disabled And Other Service Personnel To Participate In The Archaeological Exploration And Study Of Sites Of Military Interest.
