In meeting this main objective, the charity is abided the guidelines &regulations set by the charity commission.

## **Prayer Facilities:** 

Quba Islamic and Cultural Centre facilitates congregational prayer five times every day in addition to the Friday prayers and Tarawih prayers during the holy month of Ramadan. Led by our Imams and joined by a multitude of attendees from the local neighbourhood. This contributes significantly in enabling the local community to meet its religious obligations.

## **Holy Month of Ramadan:** 

Muslims across the world fast from sunrise to sunset.  The Holy month of Ramadan is our busiest time of the year, with numerous individuals taking time off work, they thereby visit the masjid more frequently to worship and contemplate. This is also the month of the revelation of Quran. We facilitate the Tarawih prayers (Night Prayers) amidst which are the most sacred nights, the last ten nights of the Holy month of Ramadan which also include Islamic reminders from our Imam. In this period, our centre experiences a huge increase in the quantity of participants, to this we react with providing more activities tailored to the requirements, to further enrich the experience. The Centre supplies the whole congregation with food and drink for the breaking of their fasts (Iftar).

## **Festivals** 

Twice a year, our congregation observe the Islamic festivals of Eid. These are Eid Al-Fitr which is at the completion of Ramadan, and Eid Al-Adha which comes after the observation of the days of Hajj. These two events are religious festive days for us, whereby each family sets off in the early morning to go to the congregational Eid prayer. Our Centre is one of those among the collective EID-Celebration in Birmingham. This prayer is carried out outside, according to the prophetic way. This religious outing in the natural air, sun, and excellent greenery offers joy to those who take part. After Eid Salah, children celebrate the EID with a fun-fare in the open space of Small Heath Park, the festivity lasts the whole day 

## **Regular Classes:** 

We hold regular courses and circles, both midweek, and every weekend. We provide additional educational programs and youth activities. The primary goal of the circles is to learn and comprehend the Quran, and to facilitate Islamic Studies. This program comprises of recitation of the Quran in a small group for both adults and children, followed by an explanation, and a short talk on key themes by the key speaker. The Centre also invites several speakers to provide informative talks, covering a broad range of topics with the perspective of rejuvenating the enthusiasm for Islamic learning, and practice, within the Muslim community. 

## **Youth lectures and activities:** 

At Quba Centre, we focus on the future generations of our community, as we see them as the future of our community. 

The goal is to utilise our holy Islamic lessons as tools to contribute to a better world in the future. With this desire as primary concern, we have chosen to put dedicated attention to support our youth, this is accomplished by tackling the root issues that stifle their improvement. 

The canter runs youth events like youth nights, designed to serve for the social, educational, emotional and physical needs of the youngsters in our neighbourhood, by giving them a place to go and enjoy activities. On youth nights, we deliver interactive workshops, discussions, quiz's, reminders, video games and table tennis, and provide them with food and drinks. On occasions, we offer swimming and football. 

## **Annual Conferences.** 

Quba Islamic and Cultural Centre have recently launched annual conferences. First conference in the summer holidays and the second in the winter holidays. The main target was to focus the youth and children to develop their personal knowledge about the true Islam and teach them different life skills. 

## **Family Advice:** 

Additionally, our imams offer other services for the community, for example, being there for the congregation in times of need from emergencies to family occasions. Their tremendous experience and firm religious grounding have contributed to many successful resolutions to

various problems. This service is available face to face and over the phone.

The donated building was dedicated to be a second (Masjid) place of worship in Nechells Bath, Nechells Park way, B7 5PD Birmingham, United Kingdom . This donation was directly paid to our solicitor and the building is now registered under our charity's name.
