## **Registered Charity No 1168219 Annual Report 2021 – 2022**

## **Introduction**

New Delaval and Newsham Residents Association provides a range of community activities for local residents. Our activities take place at Newsham Pavilion and we manage the day to day running of this community building as low cost venue for a range of community activities. We are all volunteers from the local area, and we feel that our efforts are paying off and we are really making a difference in our local community.

## **2021 - 2022**

## **Residents Public Meetings**

Newsham Pavilion was in lockdown until October 2021 when we reopened and grandually started to once again provide community activities and events.

Since October 2021 we began to host public meetings once again where local residents can air their views and be heard on issues affecting their own community. These meetings are very well attended by local residents who are given the opportunity to speak to representatives of local authorities in person getting face to face answers to their questions.

Representatives usually attend from:-

- Northumberland County Council Housing Department

- Northumbria Police

- Northumberland County Council councillors

- Blyth Town Councillors
