Public worship has been held in the chapel on Sundays every week, with services held at 10:30 and at 15:00. The weekly meeting for prayer and bible study continued until 1 February 2024 by Zoom. This has now become a prayer meeting only, still over Zoom. All our meetings are available to the public, and most are now streamed live and recorded on YouTube for later viewing.
The usual pastoral work, including visiting the elderly, and the sick, has continued.
Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)
Teaching of Christianity through sermons and small groups continues. Young people’s meetings are taking place from time to time with a magazine for young people being produced every two months or so, as part of our young people’s work, and is being distributed to around 40 people.
Promotion of Christianity through staging of events and meetings, and the distribution of literature continued through the year. Supporting other charities in the UK and overseas continues. No charges are made for any of these activities. They have been carried out in accordance with the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit.
