The charity is managed by the trustees. One-third of the trustees resign each year at the AGM and are then eligible to stand for re-election if they wish. Tru8tee vacancies may be fllled by declsion of the mernbers at ttte AGM. The member3 or the trustees may at any time decide to appoint a new trustee, whether in place of a trustee who has retired or been removed, or as an additional trustee. iv The main activities are the provi8ion of horse riding and carriage driving for disabled adults by suitably qualified instructors and assistants. The charity's objectives are to promote the objects of the Riding For The Disabled Association Incorporating Carriage-Driving, a charity registered under charity number 244108, by providing disabled people with Ihe opportunity to ride andlor carriage drive to benefit their health and well-being in the East Suffolk area. On 20th February 2025 the Charity Commission accepted the charity's application to extend the area of activities to the whole of Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex.

The trustee8 wish to thank the volunteers for the invaluable 88sist8nce and support they have provided throughout the year. The trustees consider thal they have taken the commission's public benefit guidance into account when making any decision that the guidance is relevant to. Financia view and reserve The charity's investments a held in COIF Cttaritles Investment Fund Income Units, The market value docreased from £301,974 at the start of the year, to £284,106 at 318t March 2025. Thls reduction is partly due to global market conditlons and partly because £4,000 was withdrawn durlng the year, In the year ended 31st March 2025 bank receipts totalled £15,142, including dividends of £8,172 from the COIF investments and £4,000 frcm the 8ale of investments. Payments lotalled £17,615, including £10,820 to the riding school for horse and facilities hire. Following a flood which damaged the charity's hut, £4,939 wa8 spent on purchasing and fitting out a new hut. Payments exceeded receipts by £2,473. As a result, the bank balance reduced frorn £4,490 at the start of Ihe year to £2,017 at 31 st Marctt 2025, At 31st March 2025 £180 was owed to the charity for riding fees and amounts owed by the charity were approximately £250 owed to the cafe at the riding school, for light refreshments for volunteers. The charity monilors its assets with a view to maintaining sufficient reserves to enable It to conlinue to meel it8 objective8 for several years ahead. The bank balance and investments stood at £286,123 in total at 31st March 2025 which is expected to be sufficient for many years ahead.
