ANNUAL RETURN: THE BESOM IN BARNET 01/01/23 - 31/12/23
Besom in Barnet was dormant during the year 2023.
The Trustees met on a number of occasions during the year to pray and consider ways to restart activities, the form which this should take and who should be involved.
The challenges in restarting activities include finding suitable volunteers across the range of responsibilities.
The “Relaunch Document” from 2022 was step in the right direction. The precise vision of a new Besom in Barnet remains a work in progress.
The finances during the course of 2023 were not complex. There was only one debit which related to the annual liability insurance. This is a pooled policy with other Besom groups. Besom in Barnet is recognised as an emerging Besom for the purposes of calculating the contribution due from Besom in Barnet.
Post year end, Besom in Barnet disposed of the van. This was associated with not insignificant costs, going back over a number of years and will be reported with the 2024 accounts.
