RCCG Jerusalem Tabernacle of nations has the responsibility of cooperating in promoting in the ecclesiastical parish, global online service, the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical.
Objectives & Activities
The Aims & Objective of RCCG Jerusalem Tabernacle of Nations (JTON)
The aims of the Redeemed Christian church of God-Jerusalem Tabernacle of NationsThe Redeemed Christian Church of God worldwide has the same aim: ‘To promote the whole mission of the Church, Pastoral, Evangelistic, Social and Ecumenical’. Presently; due to Covid 19, we do services online.
Objectives and Activities:
following;
Ministering to our community, through virtual pastoral care, prayers and word, evangelism, online ministration, missions support, social care, foodbanks
the bible which is key to the growth of a believer (Christian) and especially praying at dawn is a challenge for believers; local, national & worldwide – which is a key trait for the body of Christ as per Jesus praying at dawn – Mark 1;35,
1) Hence we started the dawn prayer in 2020 – (5am to 6:30am). Also; it is a good time to pray for most families as they normally get up from 7am to attend to their children, get ready for work etc.
- 2) Because of the covid19, many could not come to a church premises,
hence utilising zoom is a great benefit in ministering prayer as a tool for spiritual growth.
3) The Global Bible Studies – Reading & Studying the bible on zoom…
4) The network service gives first hand access to networking and ministering to the needs of our member, we are able to site their needs and provide the spiritual, social and financial support as needed.
4) Also, the above services enable us to interact with both young and old, and not to disrupt their normal routine, which could mean, leaving their homes in times of the pandemic.
RCCG Jerusalem Tabernacle of Nations (JTON) is committed to enabling as many people as possible to worship with us and to become part of our parish community via the Global Dawn Prayers & Global Bible Studies (Thursdays). RCCG JTON maintains an overview of worship, seven days a week. We are still looking for suggestions on how our services can involve the many groups that we don’t have direct contact with in our parish/globally.
Our services and worship put faith into practice through prayers (Monday to Saturday – 5 am to 6:30am, 2 forth nightly half night vigil (3hours on the 2[nd] & 4[th] Friday of every month, and quarterly full night night vigil- 6;30 minutes prayers) and studies of scriptures (Global Bible Studies), music and communion, (Thursday evening).
Community support, missions, financial aid, outreach & virtual evangelism, Social Care, Personal & Academic development. Seminars for training new businesses as a means of outreach.
When planning our activities for the year, we have considered the Commission’s guidance on public benefit and, in particular, the supplementary guidance on charities for the advancement of religion. In particular, we try to enable ordinary people to live out their faith as part of Redeemed Christian Church of God parish community through:
• Worship and prayer; learning about the Gospel; and developing their knowledge and trust in Jesus.
• Provision of pastoral care for people connected to the parish/ministry.
-
Missionary and outreach work – Local, National &
-
Worldwide.
-
To facilitate this work it is important that we maintain the fabric of the Redeemed Christian Church of God – Jerusalem Tabernacle of Nations (JTON).
Achievements and Performance
Achievements and P f
Achievements of RCCG Jerusalem of Nations
The achievement has been testimonial, though JTON started off in challenging times, due to covid 19, overnight, the church lost a substantial amount of its church members.
It was like starting ministry all over again. And the church had to change its way of worship and reach out to the known and unknown. However, the prayers & bible studies is raising giants to the body of Christ worldwide.
This has brought about mind blowing testimonies of healing, family reunion, hope to families and communities, intimacy with the Holy Spirit, other ministries springing forth through Jerusalem Tabernacle of Nations.
Pastor experiencing divine healing and strength to press on in ministry.
Spiritual growth: Through prayer and studying of the Word Relationship & marriage restoration
Immigration status restored Prevention of car accident
Re-instatement of master degree kidnap teenager returned by kidnappers.
Worship and Prayer
The RCCG is offering a range of services during the week and over the course of the year that our community find both beneficial and spiritually fulfilling. For example, dawn prayers (6 days a week) provide a quiet, intimate and reflective environment for prayers before the start of the day, week and month.
This year we have been successful in welcoming more families worldwide into our meetings. It is pleasing to be able to report that, though it was a daunting task from the beginning, due to the testimonies the new arrangements have been well received. This will be reviewed after 12 months. In addition, a great deal of time and thought was spent during the year on making best use of the new services. Many have said how much easier it is to follow the services now that they are can interact from home and include their families.
All are welcome to attend our regular services. At present there are about 25 parishioners on the Church Electoral Roll, 20 of are are not parishioners in JTON. 18 names were added during the year and 9 were removed either through death or because they moved away from the parish. The average weekly attendance, counted during October, was 25, but this number increased when the children are on holidays, Christmas services etc.
As well as our regular services, we enable our community to celebrate and thank God at the milestones of the journey through life. Through speaking out the word of God & praying thy kingdom come (Matthew 6:10) on a daily basis
and thank God for the gift of life. We have celebrated the birth of a baby boy, mourned with a families.
The Virtual Church – RCCG Jerusalem Tabernacle of Nations
We want our church to be open to our community for prayers. Unfortunately, since covid 19, it has become an impossibility. We are however pleased that we can be assessed on phone or zoom .
Pastoral Care
Some members of our parish are unable to attend church due to sickness or age. And the new variant omicron, has made it difficult, due to safeguarding.
Pastor Matilda Dompreh has continued to organise a followup on all who are sick/ struggling in one way or the other or unable to get out for any other reason to keep them in touch with church life.
Mission and Evangelism
Helping those in need is a demonstration of our faith. We have supported missionaries in prayer, financially globally. It is good that these behalf of others can be combined with efforts on opportunities for fellowship.
We intend to start a parish magazine is to be distributed distributed quarterly to all parishioners, partners and worshipers globally. The magazine keeps our parishioners informed of the important matters affecting our Church, the testimonies and articles that help develop our knowledge and trust in Jesus.
Ecumenical Relationships
The church is a member of Churches Together in Leighton Buzzard and Interfaith Forum in Bedfordshire

Volunteers – RCCG Jerusalem Tabernacle of Nations (JTON); Would like to thank Pastor Matilda, who through difficult challenges work so hard to make RCCG Jerusalem Tabernacle of Nations, a church without walls, an inclusive worldwide church/virtual services, lively and vibrant in community. In particular we want to mention our network of supporters worldwide, who have stood in prayers and during our online weekly bible studies.
Structure, governance and management
The method of appointment of members is set out in the Church Representation Rules. At RCCG JTON the membership of RCCG Jerusalem Tabernacle of Nations consists of the incumbent ( The pastor in charge), the assisting Minister, Trustees, the organist and members elected by those members of the congregation who are on the registration list of the church. Its our intention to ask all those who attend our services / members of the congregation (virtual inclusive) to register on church register, but on a voluntary basis, as some prefer not to.
The members are responsible for making decisions on all matters of general concern and importance to the JTON including deciding on how the funds are to be spent. New members receive initial training into the workings of the RCCG beliefs and governance. They use to meet six times during the year with an average level of attendance of 80%. But since covid and loosing members, this Given its wide responsibilities to the pastor in charge, Ministers, and some parishioners as well as trustees.
