THE CHILDRENB AID FOUNDATON (UK Reg￿81•￿ Qhurtty No. 11
FINANCIAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31st DECEMBER 2024.
This yw we have three kay de￿loPments to report.
Fitrst gi4wi grants for chlldrnn's medlcal ngads and schwl matertds in V18ayas Phlllpplrw aswdl
￿ing schools thgre and chlldrnn in poor communltles th8Te. In Bollvia the student we have Spons￿ed
and cared for has rtsw graduated succassfuly from school. That means that now all our long term
tjenethes we have sponsored to study have now graduated. In Spain we sponsored a student with
equipmait netsyed such as a computer. In Morocco we halpgd slngle mthers. We now face an uncertain
future. so xt this time we wlll not take on any more long term chlldren, but we plan to continue to give grants
for iMM￿liate neats.
Second, th8 rngulatory atrnosphere in the UK has become much more onerous with the passing of recent
egislatSon. This obliges banks and othw financial institthions to know each customer. This allows an ordinary
18rf( working in one of these 8ntiti8S to freeze the account of the customer, ie potentially our charity vdithout
ny warning, justification or court order. This renders all bank deposits. shares, bonds, cryptocuNencies on
ntr81 exchanges, and other liquid financial instruments to become highly speculative assets, unsuitable for
trust investment portfolio. We decided to close our broker account and keep only minimal bank deposits,
Iving in future to acquire only r8al assets that cannot be touched by the clerks mentioned above.
ird, we are at a crossroads. Elther we concentrate on gatting real assets, which is both costly and timè
suming and requires expertise that we would have to hire or we conclude that the mission of our charity
mplish8d and that therefore it is time to close it down. Over the coming 2 y&qrs we will evaluate the
tion and wait to see rf God provides the funding we need to acquire the said real assets.
