The trustees who are also directors of the charity for the purposes of the Companies Act 2006, present their
report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 January 2020. The trustees have
adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities." Statement of Recommended Practice
applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS102) {eff￿tIve l January 2015).
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
The Charity's objectives are to work in partnership with individuals with social and mental problems and
communities to maximize the positive impad we have on peoples lives, promoting indq)endence and full
participation in society.
In setting our objectives and planning our activities he Trustees have given careful consideration to the
CbarAty to commission public benefit guidance.
ACHIEVEMEIYT AN PERFORMANCE

DurAng the year und¢r r¢view the charity has accommodated and supported 102 individuals.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
FIDAnelal posltlon
During the reporting period, th¢ charity recorded a deficit of £108,233.54.
This deficit primarily stems from substantial investments in building renovations and the acquisilion of new
equipment and furnishings for residents. These improvements were necessary to enhance the living conditions
and 8ervi¢¢s provided to our beneficiaries.
At the end of the period, the charity maintained general funds amounting to £245,109.
Despite the current deficit, the trust¢¢s remain confident ill the charity's financial stability due to the regular
funding r¢¢eAved from the local authorAty. This consistent funding stream ensures that the charity can meet its
operational necds and gradually rebuild reserv￿ over th¢ coming months.
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

The ch￿lty is controlled by its governing docum¢nL a deed of trust, and constitutes a limited company,
limited by guarantee, as defined by the Cornpanies Act 2(X)6.
Appointment of trugteei
TnLStees' selection process is by intenriew. Candidates are selected on the basis of their specific knowledge
and expcrience covering a wid¢ Tange of skills including social wo￿, lcgal and fmancc with the purpose of
building a team able to advise and participate in the rLmning of the charity.

l Accounting Policies
1.1 Accounting Pollcles
The principal accounting ￿lIcIeS adopted by the Charity, wbich is a public benefit entity. in the
preparation of the a¢￿Unts are as follows.
1.2 Basfis of preparation
These accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention, as modified by the
inclusion of charitable propertA&q and fixed asset investments and investmenl properties at
valuation.
These accounls have been prepared in accordance with "Accounting and Rq)orting by
Charities: Statement of Recomm¢nded Practice applicable to cljarities Prep￿Ing their accounts
in accordanc¢ with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of
Ireland (FRS 102)" (effective l January 2019) - (Charities SORP (FRS 102)), the Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) and the Charities
Act 2011.
These accounts are presented ID pounds sterling and rounded to the nearest pound.
1.3 Golng Concern
The Trustses have prepared fwancial projections, taking into consideration the ¢urrent
economic conditions and have, at the lime of approving these accounts, a reasonable
expectation that the charity has adequate resowces to continue in operational existence for the
foTese¢able future. Thus they continue to adopt the going con(xrn basis of accounting in
preparing the accounts.
