We Cover the full age range of the school and
look to have an even spend on year groups
where pc>ssible. Most rtems cover the whole
school and therefo￿ all chlldren can benefit

many hours the Trustees, Council and

In September, our blggest fundralsing event,
(the Herne Hlll Oktoberfest) was held. whlch
was well recefved by parents and carers,
children and staff, a5 well as the wlder Herne
Hlll communlty.

In November, we organlsed the St Martln's
celebration for the school community,
German, Christian tradition to walk and sin8
wlth lanterns In the evenlng.
In December, we held the Christmas Fair,
coordinated the sale of children's Christmas
cards, held a wreath-makln8 workshop and
sold Christmas Trees.
The summer tern) saw the support of Sports
Day and we ended the School year supporting
an all-school theatre trip to see 'Mog the
Forgetful Cav. a sta8e adaptation of judith
Kerfs beloved Child￿n.$ book, at the Old Vlc
Theatre. We a150 held a Summer Picnic to get
all families of the school communlty together
and celebrate the end of year.
Throuthout the year we held successful
p￿10¥ed uniforni and cake Sales.
The tharity has also been generously
SUPPOrted by donations from parents. carers

and members of the wider school and local
community. including local businesses.
Our focus in the 2022-2023 school year was
the cOntinL￿ improvement of the children's
outdoor area. Including the creatlon of a
woodland area in the Reception playground,
completlon of a woodland teachlng shelter for
the forest school lincludin8 relevant teacher
training). We also provided school supplies to
cover a funding shortfall and to SUPPOrt waste
reduction through the purchase of reusable
glue Stick5.
We were able to raise £59.488 (before
payments relatin8 to FOIKPS actlvltles and
overheads) and glve £19,248 to the school.

£18.449 at l August 2022 to £37,942 at 31 July
2023.
Our main fundrnisers were the Oktoberfest, the
sale of Christmas trees/wreath workshop.

We do not have arly recurring expenditure
commttments that ￿quIre us to accumulate
reserves for unforeseen events. We raise funds
to spend on projects and facilities for the
benefft of the chiklren at JKPS. We only make
expenditure commltments when we have the
cash to do 50. The majority of funds raised in
the year are spent durfng the year or held for
followin8 years where a major projert Is
planned.

## **Independent examiner’s report to the trustees of Friends of Judith Kerr Primary School.** 

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Friends of Judith Kerr Primary School for the period ending 31st July 2023. 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the _Charities Act_ 2011 (‘the Act’). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under s. 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under s. 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

## **Independent examiner’s statement** 

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 

(1)Accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or 

(2)The accounts do not accord with those records. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
